Peugeot publishes the honest home figure, and most retailers ignore it
The UK price and specification guide for this car contains the whole answer in one sentence: a full charge takes "7 hours when connected to a 11kW supply, or 10.5 hours with a 7kW supply". Those two figures describe the same car on two different electricity supplies, and only the second one describes a British house.
The charger is an 11 kW three phase unit, standard on British cars rather than optional as it is elsewhere. What that buys you is speed at public AC posts. At home, where one phase is all there is, the car settles at 7.4 kW and a full charge takes the same time it would with the smaller charger.
Two batteries, and the bigger one takes half a day at home
The Standard Range carries 73 kWh usable of an 80 kWh pack. The Long Range is 96.9 kWh usable of 102, which Peugeot markets as 97 kWh and its own press releases sometimes call 98. WLTP range runs from 291 miles on the dual motor to 414 on the Long Range rear drive, with 310 miles for the 73 kWh single motor.
At 7.4 kW the Long Range needs something over fifteen hours from empty, which is more than a single overnight window. That is an argument for topping up nightly rather than running the pack down and refilling it in one go, and it is worth knowing before you buy rather than after.

The calculation is the battery over the delivered kW, uplifted 13 per cent for charging losses, quarter hour rounded. The range column is deliberately cautious, at 3.5 miles per kWh. Both battery sizes are shown because the difference between them is several hours.
The DC side is a different story entirely: 160 kW, and twenty to eighty per cent in 27 to 30 minutes depending on pack. That is the socket for a long journey. The Type 2 lead is the one that does the other ninety per cent of the charging.
A 22 kW charger exists, and not for you
Peugeot offers an optional 22 kW three phase charger in mainland Europe. Neither the UK press release nor the UK price guide lists it, so we would not assume a British car has one. If you are looking at a car with the 22 kW charger option, understand what it does and does not buy. Twenty two kilowatts means 32 amps across three phases. A British house has one phase. The car takes 32 amps of it, arrives at 7.4 kW, and the expensive charger sits there being no faster than the standard one. It earns its money at a 22 kW public AC post and nowhere else.
Which length for an e-5008
The socket is on the nearside rear wing, and Stellantis states it plainly: the charging socket is on the left rear wing and handles both AC and DC from the same place. You will find the socket on the nearside rear wing, exactly where you would look for a petrol cap. It is the pavement side of the car, which helps at a kerbside charge point and means the cable run depends on which way round you park.
This is a 4.79 metre seven seater, so ten metres is the default recommendation and five works only where you reverse in with the charge point close to the back of the car. Choose on the real distance from inlet to charge point, not the distance on the drawing, and never buy it tight.
How these cables are built
Standards are IEC 62196-2 and CE, protection is IP55, and the specified working range runs -30C to +50C.
On the three pin side the standard is IEC 62752, with CE marking, IP67 sealing and a -30C to +60C range. It carries a two year manufacturer's warranty, ships free on next working day delivery, and can go back inside 30 days.

How fast does an e-5008 charge at home?
About 7.4 kW. The 11 kW rating needs three phases, which British houses do not have. Peugeot own price guide quotes 10.5 hours from a 7 kW supply against 7 hours on 11 kW.
Do I need a three phase cable?
No. A 32A single phase Type 2 lead carries everything a UK home charge point can give this car.
Where is the charge socket?
Nearside rear wing, on the kerb side at the back. AC and DC share the same combined inlet.
Which length should I buy?
Ten metres suits most driveways on a car this long. Five metres works if you reverse in and the charge point sits near the rear of the car.
