Peugeot printed both figures, which makes this easy
Two chargers are offered: 7.4 kW single phase as standard, and 11 kW three phase at extra cost. The upgrade is worth having where three phase power exists and worth nothing at all where it does not, which on a driveway is almost always the case.
The 2008 UK price list is unusually useful because it tabulates both cases: a full charge in seven hours thirty minutes on the standard cable, or four hours forty-five minutes with the optional 11 kW onboard charger, which was a 300 pound extra under code LZ04. The second figure needs three phases, so the first is the one that describes a house.
The independent data confirms the mechanism by printing two separate tables, one for the standard 7.4 kW charger and one for the optional 11 kW unit, and both agree on the single phase row at 7.4 kW. The car is the bottleneck, not the cable, so the extra current goes unused.
Two batteries, and a trim question on the newer one
The 2020 to 2023 car has a 50 kWh pack with 46 kWh usable, quoted between 191 and 213 miles depending on model year. From 2023 the battery grew to 54 kWh with 51 usable, quoted at 251 to 252 miles. DC charging is 100 kW on both, nought to eighty per cent in half an hour.
One thing we cannot pin down for you. On the 54 kWh car Peugeot UK said the 11 kW three phase charger was fitted as standard on the top trim and available as an option on others, without publishing which trims got which. It makes no difference at a house, where the answer is 7.4 kW either way, but it matters if you have three phase power at work.

Hours are worked from battery size against power drawn, plus a 13 per cent allowance for what is lost as heat, rounded to fifteen minutes. The range column is deliberately cautious, at 3.5 miles per kWh. Columns are the 50 kWh badge at 46 kWh usable and the 54 kWh badge at 51. Seven to eight hours from empty puts either car inside a single overnight window. At 7.4 kW the e-2008 gains about 26 miles an hour, so a typical day of driving is replaced in two or three hours.
Which length for an e-2008
The charge flap sits on the nearside rear wing, in the place a fuel filler would normally live. That is the kerb side of the car in Britain, at the back, so reversing in is what brings it close to a wall box near the house.
The e-2008 is 4.30 metres, short enough that a rear socket is manageable. Five metres works where you reverse in with a nearside charge point or where it sits toward the back of the bay; ten metres is the safer general answer. Choose on the real distance from inlet to charge point, not the distance on the drawing, and never buy it tight.

Was the 11 kW charger worth the 300 pounds?
Only with three phase power. Peugeot own price list shows seven hours thirty minutes on the standard charger against four hours forty-five on the option, and the second figure needs a supply a house does not have.
How long does an e-2008 take to charge at home?
About seven hours thirty minutes for the 50 kWh car by Peugeot own figure, and about eight for the 54 kWh.
