The one Peugeot with 11 kW as standard, and the honest number alongside it
Unlike the e-208 and the 50 kWh e-2008, where 11 kW was a paid option, the e-308 comes with the three phase charger fitted as standard and there is no 7.4 kW base version in the UK.
What makes this page easy to write is that Peugeot publishes the useful figure in the same sentence: with an onboard three phase 11 kW charger included as standard, drivers can complete a full charge in seven hours twenty minutes from a 7.4 kW home wallbox, or five hours forty-six minutes from a 22 kW accelerated public charger. Fifty-one kilowatt hours over 7.33 hours is 6.95 kW, which is 94 per cent of a 7.4 kW nameplate. So seven hours twenty is your driveway.
A car quoted at 11 kW or 22 kW is quoting a three phase figure, and a single phase British house will give it 7.4 kW. So the 32A single phase lead is the whole decision, and the manufacturer charge time you have read is a three phase one. The 22 kW figure is a public three phase post, and note the car caps at 11 kW so it cannot use all of a 22 kW supply either.
Battery and range
The pack is 54 kWh gross with 51 kWh usable, the same battery the e-208 and the 54 kWh e-2008 use, and both the hatchback and the SW estate are quoted at around 254 miles WLTP. DC charging is 100 kW.
That shared pack is quietly useful: it means the charging behaviour of the whole Stellantis 54 kWh family is the same, and a cable bought for one of them is right for all of them.

The arithmetic is simple: kWh over kW, 13 per cent on top for losses, rounded to the nearest quarter hour. The miles column uses 3.5 miles per kWh, which holds up in winter as well as summer. Our top row lands within minutes of Peugeot own seven hours twenty, which is a good check on the arithmetic.
Seven and a half hours from genuinely empty, which fits one cheap-rate window. At 7.4 kW the e-308 gains about 26 miles an hour, so a 150 mile day is replaced in six hours and a 60 mile commute in two.
Which length for an e-308
You will find the socket on the nearside rear wing, exactly where you would look for a petrol cap. It is the pavement side of the car, which helps at a kerbside charge point and means the cable run depends on which way round you park.
The hatchback is 4.37 metres and the SW estate 4.64, so the estate pushes harder towards a longer lead. Five metres works on a hatchback reversed in beside a nearside charge point; ten metres is the safer answer generally and the sensible default on the SW. Measure from the charge point to the inlet as the car actually parks, then add two metres of slack.
How these cables are built
The lead is an IEC 62196-2 design, CE marked, IP55 sealed against a British winter and rated from -30C to +50C.
Three pin leads are made to IEC 62752, CE marked and IP67 sealed, with a -30C to +60C specification. The manufacturer warrants it for two years, delivery in the UK is free and next working day, and returns run to 30 days.

Peugeot e-308 charging cable questions
Does the e-308 charge faster than the e-208 at home?
No. Both draw 7.4 kW on a single phase supply. The e-308 has the 11 kW three phase charger as standard where the e-208 had it as an option, but three phases are what that rating needs.
How long does an e-308 take to charge?
Seven hours twenty minutes for a full charge from a 7.4 kW home wallbox, which is Peugeot own published figure.
What cable does it need?
A 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 cable, for the hatchback and the SW estate alike.
Can it use a 22 kW public charger fully?
