Four pack sizes, and they are all large
The EQE 300 and rear wheel drive 350 carry 89 kWh usable. The 350 4MATIC, 500 4MATIC and AMG EQE 53 carry 90.6. The EQE 350+ carries 96, which is the biggest, and is quoted at about 429 miles WLTP against 387 for the EQE 300 and 313 for the AMG.
An 11 kW badge means 11 kW spread over three phases. British houses get one, so the working number is 7.4 kW. That makes the 32A single phase cable the right buy, and any published charge time faster than the table below assumes three phases. Mercedes offers a 22 kW three phase upgrade, and it halves the quoted charge time from 480 minutes to 255, but only where three phases arrive. At a house both give 7.4 kW.

Hours are worked from battery size against power drawn, plus a 13 per cent allowance for what is lost as heat, rounded to fifteen minutes. The range column is deliberately cautious, at 3.5 miles per kWh. Columns are the 89 kWh cars and the EQE 350+ at 96 kWh usable.
DC rapid charging is 170 kW, so the EQE covers a long journey without touching this cable. The Type 2 lead is the overnight tool, which on a pack this size is exactly how it gets used.
The EQE SUV, if that is what you have
Mercedes sells an EQE SUV as a separate model on the same charging architecture: same 11 kW three phase charger with the 22 kW option, same rear offside port, same Type 2 and CCS connectors. So everything on this page applies to it, and the only differences are range and shape.
That is worth stating because the two are easy to confuse in listings, and a customer with the SUV who lands on a saloon page would otherwise have no way of knowing whether the advice transfers. It does.
Which length for an EQE
Rear offside, on the right of the body. Mercedes is consistent about this across the EQ range, which at least makes it easy to remember if you have more than one.
The EQE saloon is 4.95 metres, and the SUV a little shorter but taller. At that length, 5 metres only works if you reverse in with the charge point on the right, and everything else is a 10 metre job. Measure from the charge point to the inlet as the car actually parks, then add two metres of slack.

A 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 cable, and 10 metres rather than 5 on a car just under five metres long.
How long does an EQE take to charge at home?
About thirteen and a half hours for the 89 kWh cars and just under fifteen for the 96 kWh EQE 350+, from empty at 7.4 kW.
Is the 22 kW charger option worth it?
Only where three phases are available. It cuts Mercedes's quoted time from eight hours to just over four, but a British house supplies one phase and both options then give 7.4 kW.
Does this cable suit the EQE SUV?
Yes. The SUV is a separate model but shares the charger, the connectors and the rear offside port position, so everything here applies.
