Two pack sizes, one charging answer
The EQB 250, 300 4MATIC and 350 4MATIC carry 66.5 kWh usable. The EQB 250+ introduced for 2024 carries 70.5. Quoted ranges run from about 262 miles on the four wheel drive cars to 332 on the 250+, and the seven seat option is what draws most people to it in the first place.
Unless three phases reach the wall box, and at a house they rarely do, the number that matters is 7.4 kW. That makes the 32A single phase cable the right buy, and any published charge time faster than the table below assumes three phases.
Why we checked this one twice
Technical data for the EQB 250+ lists its charger as three phase and gives no single phase figure at all, which on some cars is the warning sign of a charger that collapses to 3.7 kW on a British supply. Mercedes has exactly that trap on the facelift A 250 e and CLA 250 e.
So we went looking for the amperage-by-amperage data rather than trusting the label, and it confirms the EQB still draws a full 7.4 kW from single phase at 32 amps. The label was misleading and the car is fine. It is the sort of thing worth knowing if you are comparing spec sheets across the Mercedes range, because the same wording means different things on different models.

Those times come from dividing the pack by the delivered power and adding 13 per cent for losses, then rounding to the quarter hour. The range column assumes 3.5 miles per kWh rather than a summer best case. Columns are the 66.5 kWh cars and the 250+. Mercedes quotes 375 minutes for a full charge, which is an 11 kW figure; on a British supply expect about eleven hours.
DC rapid charging is 100 kW, which on a battery this size is a useful rather than spectacular motorway stop.
Which length for an EQB
Rear offside, on the right of the body, matching the EQA, EQC and the rest of the Mercedes electric range.
The EQB is 4.68 metres and boxy with it, and the seven seat layout means the boot gets used, which tends to mean reversing onto the drive. If that puts the port on the same side as your charge point, 5 metres is fine. If not, the lead has to come round the car and 10 metres is the answer. Take a tape measure to the run, inlet to charge point, and add a couple of metres before choosing.

I read the EQB charger is three phase only. Is that a problem?
No. The label is misleading. The detailed amperage data confirms the car still draws a full 7.4 kW from a single phase 32 amp supply, so nothing is lost at a British house.
