The figure the UK sources agree on, and why it matters
There is a real disagreement about this car and we are going to come down on one side of it. Two of the big pan-European data sources list the C10 with an 11 kW three phase charger, which would mean 7.4 kW on a British supply. Three UK sources say 6.6 kW single phase: Leapmotor own UK press pack, one of the major UK motoring titles, and a UK used car guide which publishes a full charge time of ten hours forty minutes.
That last figure settles it arithmetically. Sixty-nine point nine kilowatt hours over ten hours forty minutes is 6.55 kW, which is a 6.6 kW charger and nothing else; a 7.4 kW car would be done in nine and a half hours and an 11 kW one in six and a quarter. So we write the C10 as a 6.6 kW car.
This is one of the cars that loses nothing on a domestic supply. The 6.6 kW charger is single phase by design at roughly 29 amps, well inside what a home charge point provides, so the car takes its full rated power on any ordinary driveway. The practical consequence is worth stating plainly: a 7 kW home charge point is throttled by the car rather than the other way round, so nothing above a 32A lead is of any use here.
A word about the published charge times
The German catalogue quotes 234 minutes to a full charge for this car, which on a 69.9 kWh pack implies 17.9 kilowatts. That is impossible for any onboard charger this car could have, and the same source gives figures for other Leapmotors that are equally hard to reconcile. We have used the UK sources and our own arithmetic instead, and we would treat that catalogue charging block as unreliable for this brand.
Leapmotor UK own figure, thirty to eighty per cent in about six hours, works out at 5.73 kW average and is consistent with a 6.6 kW ceiling. A heavier lead makes no difference, because nothing downstream of the onboard charger sets the pace.
Battery, range and rapid charging
The pack is 69.9 kWh and the UK price guide quotes 263 miles WLTP, with earlier press material saying 261 to 262. DC charging reaches 84 kW for a thirty to eighty stop of half an hour.
What nobody labels is whether 69.9 kWh is the gross or the usable figure. The German catalogue calls it gross; an independent database calls it usable and posits 72 kWh gross. No Leapmotor document says either way, so we treat it as the published capacity and leave the basis open rather than guess.

Times below are computed from the pack size and the power drawn with 13 per cent allowed for charging losses. Miles per hour is worked at 3.5 miles per kWh, a figure that survives a cold morning. Working from the 69.9 kWh published figure, which lands close to the measured ten hours forty minutes.
Twelve hours from genuinely flat is the arithmetic; nobody drives a 263 mile car to nought. At 6.6 kW the C10 gains about 23 miles an hour, so a seven hour off peak window covers a 160 mile day.
Which length for a C10
The socket is on the nearside rear, confirmed as "back left" by a UK source describing a right hand drive car, so there is no translation to worry about. Note this is the opposite flank to the B10 and B05, which charge from the offside rear.
The C10 is 4.74 metres, so with a rear socket ten metres is the default and five works only where the car reverses in beside its charge point. Fifteen suits a detached garage. Measure from the charge point to the inlet as the car actually parks, then add two metres of slack.
How these cables are built
The lead is an IEC 62196-2 design, CE marked, IP55 sealed against a British winter and rated from -30C to +50C.

Is the Leapmotor C10 a 6.6 kW or an 11 kW car?
UK cars are 6.6 kW single phase. Leapmotor own UK material says so and a measured full charge of ten hours forty minutes on a 69.9 kWh pack works out at 6.55 kW, which rules out anything faster.
Will a 7.4 kW cable charge it faster than a 6.6 kW one?
No. The car draws 6.6 kW at most, so the 32A cable is correct simply because it carries that comfortably. Nothing above it helps.
How long does a C10 take to charge at home?
About eleven to twelve hours from empty, or six hours for thirty to eighty per cent on Leapmotor own figure. Each hour plugged in is worth roughly 23 miles.
Where is the charge socket?
Nearside rear. The Leapmotor B10 and B05 are the other way round, on the offside rear.
