Two models, both Type 2, and one of them has the most unusual charging arrangement of any car on this site: the socket sits centrally on top of the bonnet, under a glass cover, rather than in a wing or a flank.
How the models differ, and where it matters
Read the third column as the real figure: one phase, 32 amps, about 7.4 kW at most.
The CR-V e:PHEV takes 6.8 kW and the Honda e 6.6 kW, and both chargers are single phase, so a British house delivers every watt of both. Treat a lower rating with less suspicion than it deserves. Where the charger is single phase the car collects its whole rating at a British house, which a three phase car never does. A 32 amp lead is what reaches those figures.
The CR-V e:PHEV has no DC socket at all, so the Type 2 lead is the only route electricity takes into it. The Honda e does have CCS, which matters on a longer journey and not at all at home.
That bonnet-mounted socket on the Honda e is worth thinking about before you order. It sits dead centre at the front of a very short car, which means a cable approaches it over the nose rather than along a flank, and the length you need barely depends on which side your charge point is. The CR-V is conventional by comparison, charging from the nearside front wing ahead of the door.
Working out the length
On length, err upwards. A lead a little longer than you need coils neatly; one a little shorter is useless. Five metres is right where the charge point is beside the socket, ten where it is not, and fifteen or twenty for a garage unit with the car outside.
The Honda e parked nose in to a wall box is about the shortest cable run possible, and five metres is generous. The CR-V front nearside socket is nearly as friendly.

Where is the charging socket on a Honda e?
Centrally on top of the bonnet, under a glass cover. It is unique among the cars on this site and it makes nose-in parking the natural approach.
Does a Honda get its full charging speed at home?
Yes on both models. The chargers are single phase, so a British house supplies all of 6.6 or 6.8 kW.
Can the CR-V e:PHEV rapid charge?
No. It has no DC socket, so the Type 2 cable is the only way to put charge into it.
Do I need a 32A cable?
Yes, to reach 6.6 or 6.8 kW. A 16A lead would hold either car to about 3.7 kW.
Which length should I buy?
Five metres is generous for a Honda e parked nose in. The CR-V front nearside socket is similarly forgiving.
