A rare thing: no phase penalty to explain
Here is the good news, and it is the opposite of the usual story. The charger is 6.6 kW and genuinely single phase, which is about 29 amps, so a British house supplies every watt of it. Nothing is lost to the phase count, and a 7 kW wall box simply runs at the pace the car sets.
Geely's own brochure states it as "up to 6.6kW AC charging", and the supporting evidence is in how the car behaves across supply types: one phase at 32 amps gives it 6.6 kW, while three phases at 16 amps give it only 3.7. A three phase charger would take 11 kW there. Being capped at one phase's worth is what proves the hardware is single phase.
You may see 11 kW quoted for the EX2 in one UK press article. That looks like EX5 data carried across to the smaller car, and Geely's own document disagrees with it. The extra amps would simply sit unused, so there is nothing to gain from a bigger cable. A 16A cable carries 3.6 kW so the 32A version is the one that unlocks the full 6.6, but nothing beyond that is of any use.
Two batteries, and the DC difference
Pro carries 35.4 kWh and is quoted at 156 miles, with DC charging at 60 kW and about 25 minutes for 30 to 80 per cent. Max and Ultra carry 47.1 kWh for 214 miles, with DC at 80 kW over the same 25 minutes. Both are LFP packs on a 400 volt system.
Every trim has vehicle-to-load at 3.3 kW as standard, through an external adapter on the charge socket. Prices run from 20,990 for the Pro to 25,490 for the Ultra, which puts the EX2 among the cheapest new electric cars on sale here.

Hours come from dividing the pack by the power the car actually draws, with 13 per cent added for losses. The miles column uses 3.5 miles per kWh, which holds up in winter as well as summer. Columns are the 35.4 kWh Pro and the 47.1 kWh Max and Ultra. Geely publishes no separate gross figure, so these are the capacities as stated.
Seven hours from empty on the larger battery sits neatly inside an overnight cheap-rate window, and the smaller one manages it in about five and a half. These are short charges, which is what a modest battery buys you.
Which length for an EX2
One honest caveat here. The port is on a rear flank, but no UK source states which side, and unlike the EX5 there is no right hand drive market fact sheet to check against. European data points to the left of the vehicle, which would be the nearside, but we are not going to present that as established.
Open the flap and look, then measure. On a car this small the practical answer is usually five metres for a dedicated bay and ten for anything awkward. Park the car where it normally lives, walk the run with a tape, and buy the next size up from what you measure.
How these cables are built
It is made to IEC 62196-2, CE marked, and sealed to IP55 across a -30C to +50C temperature range.
Three pin construction follows IEC 62752, CE marked, IP67 rated, usable from -30C to +60C. It carries a two year manufacturer's warranty, ships free on next working day delivery, and can go back inside 30 days.

Geely EX2 charging cable questions
How fast does a Geely EX2 charge at home?
6.6 kW, and that is the full rate rather than a reduced one. The charger is genuinely single phase, so a British house gives it everything it can take.
Do I need a 32A cable?
The 32A version is what delivers the full 6.6 kW; a 16A lead carries 3.6 kW and would roughly double the charge time. Nothing above 32A does anything for this car.
Is the EX2 an 11 kW car?
No. Geely's own brochure says up to 6.6 kW. An 11 kW figure has appeared in one UK press article and appears to have come from the larger EX5.
Which side is the charge port on?
It is on a rear flank, but no UK source states the side and there is no right hand drive fact sheet for this model. We would rather you checked the car than took our guess.
