Use the table first. It lists every model in the range against the lead it needs, so most visitors can order from it without reading another word.

One model, and the thing worth knowing about it is which side it charges from. The G6 puts its socket on the offside rear quarter, which is the opposite flank to almost every other car in this catalogue.

What varies across the {M} range

One phase at 32 amps is about 7.4 kW, and that governs the whole table.

The G6 takes 7.4 kW at a British house, and a 32 amp lead meets it exactly. Its 11 kW rating is a three phase figure, so the 800 volt architecture that makes this one of the fastest rapid charging cars on sale changes nothing whatever on a driveway. An owner puts it plainly: with three phases it charges at up to 11 kW, and on one phase it charges at up to 7 kW.

The DC figures need a model year attached to them, because four are in circulation and all four are correct for some version: 215 and 280 kW on the 2024 to 2025 car, and 382 and 451 kW on the 2026 facelift. None of them touches home charging, where a full Long Range charge takes most of a night and a half.

If you are replacing a Stellantis or Volkswagen Group car with this one and keeping the same charge point, the offside socket is the detail that will catch you out. Almost every European car puts the flap on the nearside; this one does not, and a lead that used to reach may not.

Working out the length

The only reliable way is to measure it. Where the charge point is, where the flap ends up, and the path between them, then pick the next size up.

With an offside rear socket on a 4.75 metre car, ten metres is our default recommendation and fifteen is worth considering for a garage mounted unit. Five metres only makes sense if the charge point is on the driver's side and you reverse in.
