The only Polestar that can exceed 11 kW on AC
This is the outlier of the range. The manual three phase table carries a row the Polestar 2 and 3 do not have: 32 amps at 22 kW, giving a full charge in five and a half hours. Polestar said at launch that 22 kW AC charging was included on all versions; the current UK specification page prints 11 kW, and owner reports tie the larger charger to an option pack. Which you have depends on when the car was built.
Do not pay extra for the 22 kW charger on account of home charging, because it changes nothing there. Both the standard charger and the upgraded one meet the same single phase supply and settle at the same 7.4 kW. The difference only appears where three phases are available.
At home the answer is the same either way
The home rate is fixed by the supply rather than the car. All three Polestars carry the same 11 kW three phase charger, and all three settle at about 7.4 kW on a British driveway. Choosing a bigger battery changes how long that takes, not how fast it goes in.
EV Database makes the point neatly by printing two charging tables for this car, one for the standard 11 kW charger and one for the optional 22 kW, and the single phase 32 amp row is identical in both: 7.4 kW, fifteen hours. The upgrade earns its money at a 22 kW destination post and nowhere near a house.
Battery and range
The pack is 100 kWh gross and 94 usable, a cell to pack design with 110 cells at 400 volts and a six per cent buffer. WLTP range is 385 miles for the single motor rear drive car and 367 for the dual motor, with rapid charging at 200 kW taking ten to eighty per cent in half an hour.
The dual motor is quick enough to be worth mentioning, at 400 kW and under four seconds to sixty two, and the car will also run 3.3 kW of vehicle to load through an adapter.

The calculation is the battery over the delivered kW, uplifted 13 per cent for charging losses, quarter hour rounded. The range column assumes 3.5 miles per kWh rather than a summer best case. Worked from 94 kWh usable of the 100 kWh pack.
Fourteen hours from empty at home, which again argues for topping up nightly. A typical forty mile commute is under two hours on the drive and costs a couple of pounds on an overnight tariff.
Which length for a Polestar 4
Nearside rear quarter, same as the rest of the range, but unlike the Polestar 2 the lid is motorised rather than a manual flap. Look to the nearside rear wing for the flap. It is the same spot a fuel filler occupies, on the pavement side of a UK car, and it makes reversing onto the drive the cheaper option in cable terms.
The car is 4.84 metres. Ten metres is the default; five works only where you reverse in with the charge point close behind the rear wheel. Work it out from where the car genuinely sits, not where it could sit, and leave slack.
How these cables are built
The cable meets IEC 62196-2, carries the CE mark, is sealed to IP55 and is specified from -30C to +50C.

Polestar 4 charging cable questions
Is the 22 kW charger worth having?
Not for home charging. Both the 11 kW and 22 kW chargers give 7.4 kW on a British single phase supply. The larger one only helps at a 22 kW public AC post.
Does my car have the 22 kW charger?
It depends on build date and options. Polestar said at launch it was included on all versions, but the current UK specification page lists 11 kW. It makes no difference at home either way.

Do I need a three phase cable?
