The efficient one, which changes how often you charge
The 53 kWh Ioniq 6 holds 50 kWh usable for about 267 miles. The 77.4 kWh car holds 74 usable and is quoted between 338 and 382 miles rear wheel drive depending on wheel size, and 322 to 362 all wheel drive. The Ioniq 6 N uses an 84 kWh pack for up to 302 miles.
Those are remarkable numbers for the battery size, and the practical effect is that an Ioniq 6 needs the cable less often than an Ioniq 5 does. The same charge goes further, so the interval between plug-ins stretches.
What the 11 kW rating gives you at home
On paper 11 kW, in a driveway 7.4 kW, and the difference is the supply rather than the car or the cable. A 32A single phase lead therefore hands the car everything one phase can deliver. Hyundai's own eight hour figure for the 77.4 kWh pack is a three phase number; at a house the same charge is nearer eleven and three quarters.
Hyundai is not entirely consistent with itself on whether the charger is 10.5 or 11 kW, and its press material for the Ioniq 6 N says 10.5 where the Ioniq 6 page says 11. On a single phase supply the distinction disappears, so we have not tried to resolve it.

Those times come from dividing the pack by the delivered power and adding 13 per cent for losses, then rounding to the quarter hour. The range column is deliberately cautious, at 3.5 miles per kWh. Columns are the 53 kWh and 77.4 kWh packs at usable capacity. Because the Ioniq 6 is so efficient, each hour on the cable is worth noticeably more range than the same hour on a heavier car.
DC charging on the 800 volt system runs to 233 kW and beyond, with a 10 to 80 per cent stop well under twenty minutes, so the Type 2 lead is a home and workplace tool rather than a road trip one.
Which length for an Ioniq 6
Rear offside quarter, the right hand side of the body, the same E-GMP position as the Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6. Fixed to the body, so it is the driver's side on a UK car and it does not swap.
The Ioniq 6 is 4.86 metres long, which is longer than it looks. Reverse onto a drive with the charge point on the right and 5 metres will do it; anything else means routing round most of five metres of car, so 10 metres. Measure from the charge point to the inlet as the car actually parks, then add two metres of slack.
How these cables are built
Construction is to IEC 62196-2 with CE marking, IP55 weather protection and a -30C to +50C operating range.
The three pin cable is built to IEC 62752, CE marked, sealed to IP67 and rated from -30C to +60C. The manufacturer warrants it for two years, delivery in the UK is free and next working day, and returns run to 30 days.

What cable does an Ioniq 6 need?
A 32A single phase Type 2 to Type 2 cable. The 11 kW rating needs three phases; a British home gives the car 7.4 kW, which a 32A lead carries in full.
How long does an Ioniq 6 take to charge?
About seven and three quarter hours for the 53 kWh car and eleven and three quarters for the 77.4 kWh, from empty at 7.4 kW.
Is the charger 10.5 or 11 kW?
Hyundai says both on different pages of its own site. It makes no practical difference, because a single phase British supply caps the car at 7.4 kW either way.
Where is the charge port?
The rear offside quarter, on the right of the body, the same as the Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. It does not mirror for right hand drive.
