The 7.2 kW figure is real, and you will not see it at home
Two phases at 16 amps each is what the 7.2 kW rating describes. British houses run on one phase, so the car gets 16 amps and about 3.6 kW, and the second half of the charger sits idle. This is not a three phase car falling back to a third of its rating; it is a two phase car falling back to half.
EV Database prints the British row without softening it: a single phase 32 amp supply nominally worth 7.4 kW gives this car 3.6 kW, limited by the onboard charger, taking ten hours forty five minutes to fill. That is identical to the 16 amp row. Seat own claim of eighty per cent in four hours from a 7.2 kW charger is simply not achievable at a normal British house.
Owners have chased this and found nothing wrong
What makes this worth a paragraph is how many people have assumed a fault. UK owners of the Mii and its Skoda sister have taken cars back to dealers, had software updates applied and run diagnostic tools, all to explain why a 7 kW home charger only delivers 3.6 kW. Nothing was ever wrong. The charger wants two phases and a house has one.
A German owner forum states the same thing about the Citigo-e in plainer engineering terms: charge on one phase and the car takes a maximum of 16 amps, which is about 3.6 kW. Same platform, same answer.
DC charging was standard on UK cars
Seat sold the Mii Electric in a single fully loaded trim in Britain, and its press material lists fast DC charging as standard equipment. So unlike some city cars of the era, every UK Mii Electric has a CCS socket. Rated at 40 kW, nought to eighty in about an hour, with EV Database measuring a 37 kW peak.
Given the home rate, that DC socket is more useful on this car than it sounds. A twenty minute rapid stop adds more than three hours on a driveway would.
Battery and range
The pack is 36.8 kWh gross with 32.3 usable, which Seat publishes properly rather than leaving to guesswork: 168 cells in an 84s2p arrangement of NMC622 chemistry at 310 volts nominal. WLTP range is 160 to 161 miles, with road tests landing between 140 and 170 depending on wheels and weather.

Figures are calculated rather than quoted: battery divided by power, 13 per cent for losses, quarter hour rounding. Miles per hour is worked at a conservative 3.5 miles per kWh. Note that the 32 amp and 16 amp rows are identical, which is the whole point of this page.
Nine to eleven hours from empty means this is an overnight car, and a cheap overnight tariff suits it perfectly. What it does not suit is a plan that depends on a quick evening top up.
Which length for a Mii Electric
The socket is on the offside rear quarter, in the position the petrol Mii used for its fuel flap. Seat manual puts it plainly: press the cover of the battery charging socket, located at the rear of the right side. On a British car that is the driver side, at the back.
The car is only 3.56 metres, which forgives a lot. Five metres is usually enough; ten if the charge point is on the nearside of the parking space. Work it out from where the car genuinely sits, not where it could sit, and leave slack.

Why does my Mii Electric only charge at 3.6 kW?
Because its 7.2 kW charger is a two phase design that takes 16 amps per phase. A British house supplies one phase, so the car gets about 3.6 kW. Nothing is faulty.
Will a 32A cable help?
It will not make the car charge faster, but it is the more useful cable to own and runs cooler. The car draws 16 amps regardless.
