That is the mainland European Opel arrangement, not the British one. Vauxhall has fitted the 11 kW three phase charger as standard since launch: its press release said the Mokka-e comes with a standard 11 kW onboard charger, and every price guide since repeats that it is fitted with an 11 kW unit and equipped with a Mode 3 cable as standard.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eUK cars get the 11 kW three phase charger as standard equipment, which sounds like a win and mostly is not. Three phase power is a workplace and public car park thing in this country; on a driveway the car takes one phase at 32 amps and 7.4 kW is the answer. The benefit shows up at a 22 kW destination post, not at home. Vauxhall own times make the difference concrete: seven and a half hours for a full charge on a 7 kW supply against five hours on an 11 kW three phase one.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eThe battery grew in 2023\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eCars from 2021 to 2023 have 50 kWh gross with 46.3 usable and WLTP range of 201 miles at launch, later restated as 209. Range added per hour assumes a year round 3.5 miles per kWh rather than a best case figure. The two figures cover the 50 kWh and 54 kWh packs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eSeven to eight hours from empty is one overnight window, which makes this an easy car to live with on a cheap off peak tariff. Rapid charging is claimed at 100 kW, nought to eighty in half an hour, with EV Database measuring a 107 kW peak and a 79 kW average across ten to eighty per cent.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eA trap that does not apply here\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eWorth knowing because it applies to some of the Stellantis vans. A car with only a single phase 7.4 kW charger, plugged into a three phase 16 amp public post, gets one phase and therefore 3.7 kW. That is a charge point problem rather than a car fault, and a UK specification Mokka-e with its three phase charger does not suffer from it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eNor does it apply on a domestic single phase supply at all, where any of these cars takes 32 amps and reaches 7.4 kW. The 3.7 kW figure only appears in the three phase 16 amp column.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eWhich length for a Mokka-e\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe inlet is on the nearside rear three quarter panel, where you would expect to find a fuel flap. Look to the nearside rear wing for the flap. It is the same spot a fuel filler occupies, on the pavement side of a UK car, and it makes reversing onto the drive the cheaper option in cable terms.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe car is 4.15 metres, which is short enough that five metres often does if you reverse in. \u003ca href=\"\/products\/10m-ev-charging-cables\"\u003eTen metres\u003c\/a\u003e is the choice that stops you thinking about it.
