Nissan did not. The Ariya has a 7.4 kW single phase unit as its base specification, with a 22 kW three phase charger standard on 87 kWh cars and sold as an option on 63 kWh ones. So two Ariyas on the same street can have different charging hardware behind an identical flap.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eIt changes nothing at a house, where one phase means 7.4 kW either way and the 32A single phase lead delivers all of it. It changes a great deal at a three phase workplace post, where a 22 kW car finishes an 87 kWh battery in four hours instead of thirteen.
