The table translates each car's rating into what it will actually pull on that supply, which is the only figure worth comparing when you are choosing a lead.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eWhat varies across the {M} range\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe battery electrics, the Mustang Mach-E, the Explorer, the Capri and the Puma Gen-E, all reach 7.4 kW at a British house, and a 32 amp cable carries all of it. The Kuga plug-in hybrid is the other end of the scale at 3.7 kW, which a 16 amp cable handles with room to spare. The Kuga is also the highest-traffic Ford page on our other site, which suggests plenty of owners arrive not knowing that.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe E-Transit is quoted at 11 kW and optionally 22 kW. Both are three phase figures. On a depot or driveway with a single phase supply the van takes 32 amps of one phase and lands near 7.4 kW either way, so the 22 kW option is worth money only where three phase power actually reaches the building.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe charging point on the body is not in the same place across these models, which matters more for your order than the amp rating does.
